R.A. The Rugged Man & Mac Lethal – Crustified Christmas

Be prepared for a boatload of coal to come flying down your chimney after hearing this one. RA takes shots at Santa Claus and even claims he got down and dirty with Mrs. Claus. It’s clear that these guys don’t like the traditions and consumerism that Christmas brings, but at least they wish Jesus a happy birthday in the

Hip Hop Holiday Mix (15 tracks)

Get in the Christmas spirit with this 15-track playlist from Alex Julian over at 8tracks. It’s a diverse selection ranging from old school hip-hop to modern tracks by Kanye and Ludacris.

“Teach Me How To Dougie” Jingle Bells Christmas Remix

“Here we gooo!!” Not sure why this mash-up artist decided to include Super Mario and Grand Theft Auto sound clips to kick off this epic mash-up, but it got me amped up!

Mash-up! “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” x “Carol of the Bells”

It’s hard to get a Christmas mash-up wrong. Take 2 classic jams, mash them together, use a drum machine to match a hip-hop beat, and boom: instant hip-hop Christmas jam. Okay, maybe we’re over-simplifying it, but the concept is solid.

“You Hear Them Bells Go” (Parody of Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and Plies)

The creator of Shawt Bus Shawty has a gift up his sleeve for us this holiday season! It’s another hip-hop parody video, this time featuring cartoon imposters of Rick Ross (as Santa Claus), Lil’ Wayne (as Rudolph),  Young Jeezy (as the Snowman), and Plies (as the Elf).

Twiztid – “Waiting On Christmas Gifts” (based on Snoop Dogg’s “Gin & Juice”)

Snoop Dogg’s “Gin & Juice” is a classic hip-hop track that will never get old. You already knew that though. Twiztid use this to their advantage, using the instrumental as the backdrop for this song about waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Black Spade – “Dis Christmas (W/O U)”

Here at Hip Hop Santa, there is a lot of familiarity with the classic Christmas songs. “Jingle Bells”, “Last Christmas”, and “Wonderful Christmas Time” are sampled like nobody’s business. It’s very refreshing when an artist creates an original song that captures the Christmas spirit without resorting to jingle bells as the primary instrument.

Mac Lethal – “Santa Raps SO Fast!!!”

Mac Lethal is back at it again with yet another installation of his “fast rap” series. This time, he claims a NEW WORLD RECORD!!! See for yourself if he can back up his claim, or if he should dejectedly go climbing back up the chimney.

Spyder-D – “Ghetto Santa”

Another cut off the 1987 Christmas Rap compilation, “Ghetto Santa” is a no frills Christmas rap song. With Spyder-D and DJ Doc on production, the instrumental is a hip-hop version of “Jingle Bells” with sleigh bells layered on to give it a distinctive Christmas vibe.

Sweet Tee – “Let The Jingle Bells Rock”

“Oh, you didn’t know Christmas went hip hop? Check the clock, and let the jingle bells rock”  Here’s another cut off the 1987 Christmas Rap compilation released by Profile Records. “Let The Jingle Bells Rock” is an original track by Sweet Tee, a female rapper from Queens most known for her 1988 debut album It’s Tee
