Kid-friendly: “Christmas in Oldskool County” (42 min mix)

Looking for a playlist of old school hip-hop Christmas jams? Look no further. @JefCzekaj from Hip+Hop Don’t Stop put together this 42 minute kid-friendly mix of Hip Hop Christmas songs from the ’80s!

“Teach Me How To Dougie” Jingle Bells Christmas Remix

“Here we gooo!!” Not sure why this mash-up artist decided to include Super Mario and Grand Theft Auto sound clips to kick off this epic mash-up, but it got me amped up!

Black Spade – “Dis Christmas (W/O U)”

Here at Hip Hop Santa, there is a lot of familiarity with the classic Christmas songs. “Jingle Bells”, “Last Christmas”, and “Wonderful Christmas Time” are sampled like nobody’s business. It’s very refreshing when an artist creates an original song that captures the Christmas spirit without resorting to jingle bells as the primary instrument.

LehtMoJoe – “Christmas Swag” (Paul McCartney vs. Soulja Boy)

Ready for some next level sh**?!? Dallas-based DJ LehtMoJoe crafted a perfect mash-up of Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmas Time” and Soulja Boy’s “Pretty Boy Swag”. Who knew that these two legends were meant from each other in the mash-up hall of fame?

White Lightning, P’Zilla, and Chinchilla – “Ho! Ho! Ho! (It Looks Like Snow)”

Chances are you haven’t heard of White Lightning, P-Zilla, or Chinchilla until now. It’s okay, neither did we. Just know that your mind is about to be blown with one of the best Christmas rap songs in the history of Christmas rap songs.

Rap Allstars – “Last Christmas” ft. Leroy Daniels

Back in 1998, the Rap Allstars created their own rendition of George Michael’s classic song “Last Christmas”. It’s a great song and fits perfectly into any Christmas playlist. Nothing revolutionary here, just good old fashion hip hop Christmas music. There’s also a video to go along with it. Christmas Relevance Naughty or Nice? Santa’s Score

69 Boyz, Quad City DJs, and K-Nock – “What You Want For Christmas”

Talk about taking it to the next level… this song is crazy! The instrumental’s got a techno/breakbeat backbone to it, with jingle bells sitting front and center. Dare I say this is actually a Christmas song that is danceable. As with the last song we posted, the premise of the song is the rappers outlining

DJ Kremy & DJ Ice K – “Happy Xmas” [Remix] ft. Yung Joc, 50 Cent, Paul Wall

Take your shirt off and twist it round your head cuz this track is FIRE. Featuring vocals from three different songs and a Christmas beat added on top, “Happy Xmas” is a straight up jam. The lyrics aren’t Christmas related, but the instrumental is enough to get anyone pumped for the holidays. DJ Ice K

Jim Jones – “Ballin’ On Xmas” ft. J.R. Writer

Santa didn’t have to think twice on this one… 5 stars & 5 trees easy! Using the beat from the Run DMC classic “Christmas in Hollis”, Dipset members Jim Jones and J.R. Writer team up on one of my favorite hip-hop Xmas tracks.

Kanye West – “Christmas in Harlem” (ft. CyHi da Prynce, Teyana Taylor, Cam’Ron, Jim Jones, Vado, Pusha T, Musiq Soulchild)

The G.O.O.D. music team put out this radio-friendly joint in 2010, and it’s one of my favorite X-mas tunes. Unlike many Christmas rap songs, this one’s not gimmicky at all. It has a really raw feel thanks to the smooth vocals from Teyana Taylor and top-notch production from Hit-Boy.
